As we continue to fight the chance of an oligarchic government shutdown by Elon Musk and MAGA Republicans, please see this presentation prepared by the Committee on Small Business to see it's detrimental effects on our small businesses across the nation.

If MAGA Republicans let this shut down go through, how can they possibly say they are fighting for our working class people when they constantly side with the elite?

House Republicans are threatening to shut down the government after Elon Musk, their biggest donor, threw a temper tantrum online and Donald Trump ordered them to kill a bipartisan funding bill.

A Republican shutdown would threaten our safety, undermine our economic progress, risk children and families going hungry, and force millions of our troops and government employees to work without pay.

If MAGA Republicans make good on their threats for a government shutdown:

• Nearly 7 million women and children would lose access to Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits in a prolonged shutdown.

• 4.7 million of our troops and government employees could be forced to go without the pay they earn during the shutdown.
• Workers at the FDA would be sidelined, risking interruptions and delays to the approximately 15,000 food safety, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other inspections conducted every year.
• The approximately 2.9 million people flying through American airports every day would face potential delays and safety concerns due to staffing impacts on TSA agents and air traffic controllers.
• The Small Business Administration would stop processing small business loans, halting programs that provide about $38 billion in funding to small businesses every year.

• 41.8 million Americans would lose access to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in a prolonged shutdown.
