Rep. Jonathan L. Jackson's Statement on Hamas's Attack on Israel

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Jonathan L. Jackson (D-IL-01) released the following statement on Hamas's attack on Israel:

"I strongly condemn the attack on Israel that has led to deaths, injuries, and capture of innocent civilians. This attack does nothing to advance peace or a two-state solution: Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security. I call upon Hamas to halt the attacks and free all hostages. I also call upon Israel to work to avoid civilian casualties in the response to this attack. I extend my deepest condolences to the victims of this attack and their families."
