Rep. Jackson Thanks U.S. Capitol Police for their Work Apprehending Threatening and Verbally Abusive Individual
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Jonathan L. Jackson (IL-01) thanked U.S. Capitol Police for their work in apprehending an individual who threatened and was verbally abusive to staff:
"I am extremely grateful to the U.S. Capitol Police for their hard work in apprehending the individual who has been repeatedly calling my staff and other Congressional offices. This individual, arrested in Puerto Rico, would call my office almost daily for more than half a year. He logged more than 10,000 calls to more than 20 Congressional offices, routinely making death threats and engaging in verbally threatening behavior. My staff and the other staff members are patriotic Americans who come to work every day to help constituents and make America a better place. I am thankful for their work and comforted that they will be able to continue to do their important work without this individual threatening and verbally abusing them."
