Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson (IL-01) Statement on the Earthquakes Impacting Türkiye and Syria

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson released a statement affirming his support for humanitarian aid to Türkiye and Syria, expressing sympathy for the people affected by the recent earthquakes.

"I extend my sympathies to those impacted by the recent earthquake in Türkiye and Syria" said Congressman Jackson. "I fully support President Biden's commitment to providing immediate assistance to our NATO Ally Türkiye and offer my condolences to those who have lost loved ones, those who are injured, and those who have seen their communities destroyed. I also back the efforts of humanitarian organizations partnered with the U.S. in addressing the destruction in Syria.”
